My Values
If we’re going to achieve true justice and preserve the republic there cannot be corrupt bipartisanism. We must elect leaders who will uphold justice because it is the right thing to do, not because it will look good on their social media feed. We either have justice or we do not. We need to call out our leaders when their words do not align with their actions. We either have equity of opportunity or we do not. We deserve leaders who are unafraid to oppose their donors or stand up to party leaders when there is pressure to look the other way. They will either make concessions or they will not. Our liberty has no concession.
The path of our nation was long and arduous. It was a triumphant journey but also not without its faults. If we erase our past, we will forget our mistakes. If we forget our mistakes, we will make them again with the confidence they will succeed. We must strive to learn from our journey as a country and as humanity. We must embrace the depth of our history by reveling in our success and acknowledging our failures. We must strive to improve upon the people we were yesterday to make tomorrow a more enlightened place.
There are only two ways for us to grow our futures and ensure the equity of life for all of us on our Earth. Those ways are to provide our children with quality education and nurture an economy that provides opportunity and rewards the pursuit of our shared values. Education builds our confidence. Confidence inspires us to pursue. Pursuit results in experience. Experience affords us an opportunity. Opportunity will yield achievement. Achievements yield success. Success delivers us to prosperity. We will all walk our path but we must also help each other along the way.
