Our Shared Responsibility
My vision is simple and certainly not new. My vision is the same one the Colonists fought for almost 250 years ago. The vision of a society that observes each individual's inherent natural right to life and liberty. The vision of a nation that pursues prosperity for all humanity. The vision of a government bridled by each of its unequal branches and subservient to its people. The vision of a people willing to exercise their authority over their electors. The vision of sovereign states bonded together in the spirit of liberty for their protection against corrupted leaders who seek wealth and publicity over civil service. It is the vision of a nation that embodies the honor and sacrifice of a generation of patriots who went all in for the future benefit of humanity.
Fulfilling these ideals is all of our responsibility in one way or another. It is the responsibility of Congress to sustain our Republic and fulfill their obligations to uphold our Constitution with the resources and authority delegated to them by The People. It is our responsibility as The People to defend our Republic and fulfill our obligations to our country and ourselves through public scrutiny of the electorate. This is achieved through our collective willingness to remove representatives when they fail to honor their oath and our conviction to prosecute those of them who willfully betray The Peoples' trust.
We cannot continue to elect the same people and parties who falsely promise prosperity and safety yet deliver despotism and fear. When our representatives become destructive of our Constitution and indifferent to the liberties proclaimed by our Bill of Rights, it is our duty to appoint new guards for our future prosperity. We must seek our provisions through the vigilant pursuit of education and by exercising our skills and trades. We must reject the gilded promises to provide for us as the false promises of subservience for which they are.
Liberty for a sum is liberty for none.
